Why didn’t Corm go with compostable packaging like the powder packs? I’ve been impressed with Form because of this commitment to quality and packaging awareness. I won’t be trying the bars for this reason and also am starting to question Forms’ values with this bar packaging decision.
Thank you for raising this Callie, we completely understand why packaging choices matter, and sustainability is a core value for us as well. While our protein powders are packaged in fully compostable pouches, protein bars require a much stronger barrier to protect against moisture, air and oils, as well as withstand the heat and sealing process during production. At present, compostable films don’t reliably meet these requirements without compromising product quality or safety. For now, we’ve chosen a widely recyclable PP wrapper as the most responsible option available, and we’re actively exploring compostable alternatives as innovation in this space develops. Switching as soon as a fully functional solution exists is absolutely a priority for us. Hope this answers you fully and thank you for your feedback.
