Oats are easily the most feel-good breakfast, with a banana and nut butter no less. We could not wait to share these salted vanilla oats by Venetia Falconer, as we love the idea of mixing in maple syrup and salt to create a new flavour. Also, who could resist all those toppings! In her post, Venetia encourages ‘fun but entirely unnecessary adornments like cacao nibs and chopped toasted hazelnuts’.


  • 50g oats
  • 300ml plant milk
  • 2 tsp Form Performance Vanilla
  • Maple syrup
  • Blueberries
  • Yoghurt
  • Nut butter
  • 1 banana
  • Salt


Mix the oats with the milk and extra water if necessary. Throw in a generous pinch of salt, then stir in 2 tsp of Form Performance Vanilla and maple syrup to taste. Heat up, either on the hob or in the microwave, and then top with yoghurt, your favourite nut butter, a chopped banana and anything else that takes your fancy.
