This warming bowl is full of gentle spice and natural sweetness, perfect for slower mornings. Creamy porridge is infused with cinnamon, ginger, clove and nutmeg, then topped with soft, caramelised baked pears. It feels indulgent, yet nourishing enough to keep you satisfied all morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oats
  • 2 cup Oat milk
  • 2 tbsp Performance Vanilla/Pureblend
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup (optional, recommended if using Pureblend)
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Clove
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
BAKED PEARS:
  • 2 pears
  • 1–2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Bake the pears
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Halve the pears and scoop out the cores. Place them cut-side up in a small baking dish.
  3. Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. Add 2 to 4 tablespoons of water to the base of the dish to prevent sticking.
  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until tender and lightly caramelised around the edges.
Make the spiced porridge
  1. Add the oats, oat milk, cinnamon, ground ginger, clove, nutmeg and vanilla extract to a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over low to medium heat, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
  3. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, until thick and creamy.
  4. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly for about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the Performance Vanilla (or Pureblend). If using Pureblend, add the optional maple syrup at this stage. Mix until smooth, adding a splash of extra oat milk if you prefer a looser texture.
To serve Spoon the porridge into bowls and top with the warm baked pears and any syrup from the dish. Serve immediately while everything is warm and fragrant.
