Apple Sponges
These vegan apple sponges from The Urban Canteen are moist, easy to make and only take 13 mins to cook, depending on the size of your mould.⠀
Ingredients
- 270g self raising flour
- 40g Superblend Vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp dark chocolate & hazelnut spread
- 2 cups plant-based milk
- 1 apple
Instructions
- Mix together the ingredients in one bowl until you have a nice batter. If it's too thick add a touch more milk.⠀
- Put the mixture in the oven at 160°c for 13-15 minutes.⠀
- For the topping dice some apple and caramelise in a pan with a spoon of light brown sugar and a drizzle of water.⠀
