Chocolate Hazelnut Protein Torrone
Definitely a favourite at Form’s HQ! Torrone (Italian Nougat) is normally high in sugar, so by adding our Performance protein and using a sugar-free spread, this sumptuous treat can be enjoyed without moderation – maybe with a bit of moderation 😉
Ingredients
- 1 cup Roasted hazelnuts
- 300g Dark chocolate
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- 1/2 cup Cacao & hazelnut spread (we used Valsoia)
- 40g Performance Chocolate Hazelnut protein
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate and coconut in bain-marie
- Remove it from the hob, fold in the chocolate & hazelnut spread and protein powder until completely incorporated, and then add the hazelnuts.
- Add the chocolate mixture into a container covered with baking paper, spread it out evenly.
- Let sit until completely hardened either in the fridge or overnight at room temperature.
- In case you keep it in the fridge, let it out for a few hours to soften before slicing it.
