Mango Lassi with Basil Seeds
The hero ingredient of this smoothie is basil seeds, but fear not, it won’t make your protein shake taste like a caprese salad! These seeds are commonly used in Southeast Asia in flavoured water and juices, known as sabja seed drinks.Basil seeds have a long history in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine and are rich in essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and iron. One tablespoon contains seven grams of fibre plus your daily need for alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fat.
Ingredients
- 300ml Coconut kefir (we like @cocosorganic)
- 1 cup Frozen mango
