Form and Sustainability
As a certified B Corporation, Form is a company committed to using business as a force for good. Our core values reflect this, and so sustainability is at our very heart.
Here are some of the sustainable measures we’ve implemented on the Form product range.
Compostable Packaging
Plastic stand-up pouches were the most sustainable packaging option available to us when we started out, especially once recycle rates, material use and energy of production are taken into account. We were always on the hunt for something better, though.
We’re delighted, therefore, to have developed the first full colour printed compostable stand-up pouch. Certified to EN standards, this pouch takes a printed paper and bonds it to a plant-based biofilm. The biofilm provides the air barrier that keeps your product fresh and the printed paper keeps it looking beautiful. And yes, those inks are water-based.
Already just a few months since launching, over 50,000 compostable pouches manufactured for our protein blends means that the same number of plastic ones have been saved.
Plastic Scoops
In order to make all our products in compostable packaging completely plastic-free, we’ve also removed plastic scoops. Most people add our protein blends to taste, or a scoop is equivalent to approximately one heaped tablespoon. If you’re tracking macros very accurately, we always recommend using weighing scales.
Boxes and void fill
Our cardboard boxes are 100% recyclable and we use recycled paper void fill to keep your product safe during transport. We don’t tend to fill our boxes with unnecessary flyers and marketing material – we’ll keep you up to date by email. That leaflet you get in there listing your order details is necessary so that the warehouse picks up and ships your order correctly – but we’ve made sure it’s recycled paper.
And finally…
Don’t forget that switching to vegan protein powder is a simple, easy change that anyone can make to do their bit for sustainability.
