Craving something indulgent yet nourishing? These Chocolate Hazelnut Protein Bites are a deliciously satisfying way to treat yourself while fuelling your body. Think of them as a healthier nod to your favourite chocolate-hazelnut spread—chocolaty, nutty, and naturally sweetened. Packed with plant-based protein and healthy fats, they’re the perfect on-the-go snack or post-workout reward that feels like a treat.

Ingredients

  • 150g Blanched roasted hazelnuts
  • 30g Performance Chocolate Hazelnut 
  • 20g Cacao powder
  • ⅛ tsp Salt
  • 40g Hazelnut butter
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 100g Medjool dates
  • 2 tbsp Water (if necessary)

Instructions

  1. Blend the dry ingredients – In a food processor, blend the hazelnuts, protein powder, cacao and salt, until finely ground.
  2. Add the wet ingredients – Add the dates, hazelnut butter vanilla extract and water pulse to combine.
  3. Check the texture – If the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of water (one at a time) and blend again until you can press it into a ball.
  4. Cut into squares  – flatten the mixture into a small 6/7 inch square container lined with baking paper. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden and then cut into squares.
