While some may think beetroot is better suited for savoury dishes, we think beetroot is an unsung hero in the smoothie world⁠. Beetroot is packed with nutrients like folate, which plays a key role in heart health⁠. Manganese, which is essential for bone formation, nutrient metabolism and brain function⁠. Copper, which is required for energy production and neurotransmitter synthesis⁠. Meaning a must have ingredient for active people looking for way to fuel performance.

Ingredients

  • 300ml Coconut milk⁠
  • 50g Frozen banana ⁠
  • 50g Steamed/cooked beetroot⁠
  • 40g Performance Vanilla/Superblend Vanilla/Pureblend
  • ½ tbsp Cacao powder 
  • ¼ tsp Vanilla extract⁠
Optional: plant-based whipped cream or coconut yogurt to top ⁠ ⁠⁠⁠⁠

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients except whipped cream/coconut yogurt in a high speed blender until completely smooth. 
  2. If using Pureblend sweeten to taste
