None of our low-carb smoothie recipes includes dates or bananas, instead opting for fruit and veg lower in natural sugars.
The macronutrient ratio in this smoothie has been optimised for the ketogenic diet, ie. moderate protein, high fat, low carb. It also uses almond butter in place of peanut, which has a more delicate taste and is richer in fibre, vitamin E, magnesium and potassium.
