there is a horrible after taste. i’ve put it with water and almond milk and it doesn’t taste very nice at all.
Hi Ellie, we’re sorry this was your experience. In Chocolate Peanut this is actually our most popular product! With almond milk and banana it tastes amazing! Please could you email us on hello@formnutrition.com and we’ll give you some guidance to help make a shake that you love! 🌱👌
I had been getting a bit wary about my current protein powders, feeling they were really synthetic and probably not so good for me and saw this coming up a lot on Instagram so decided it give it a try- so happy I did!
I bought the Performance Protein in both flavours and am mixing them up (day by day or using together ) depending on my mood.
The vanilla is very sweet but then I just use a bit less and out it with as much water as I can get in my bottle. It gets really frothy easily which I love as it makes it seem more substantial and more of a treat! The chocolate peanut is a little more grainy and doesn’t get so much of a froth on but it’s still good and really nice to add to a green smoothie.
Despite the hassle of getting this sent internationally (not an issue on their side- only with the local postal service!) I will not be switching from these.
Thank you Lisa, really happy to hear this. A lot of people add berries to vanilla also. We’re trying so different couriers to you so hopefully the postal service will improve!
This is the best protein powder. It mixes well and you know the ingredients are good. So pleased to have found this product.
Thank you Deborah, we’re really happy you found us too!
Good vegan protein, only downside is the price. myprotein have a very similar blend for half the price and double the amount.
If it was a kg for this price I’d probably consider the subscription but as it stands will probably just finish the pack and not continue purchasing.
Hi Andy, really happy you enjoyed. We use higher grades of the proteins, such as organic pea which enable us to achieve the texture and mixability we do as well as a higher protein dose. We also use additional ingredients such as probiotics for a healthy gut and bioperine to improve absorbtion. This, along with the use of natural sweeteners (no sucrolose here!) explains why our brand is more expensive than some cheaper more simply formulated products.
The taste of the chocolate peanut powder is great but the amount of protein is pretty low and the calories are very low for the dose they recommend. most proteins require anywhere between 20 and 25g scoops whereas to get the “30g of protein” you need to load your shaker with 40g of the powder.
Essentially, if you want to get enough protein per shake, you will probably end up finishing the pack in no time..!
This is partly my fault, as I ordered from the mobile site, and I couldn’t find the calories and could find the “key nutritionals” section.
You cannot fault the taste, so for that, I rate it a 3 – but I wouldn’t recommend if you are trying to lose weight and need help keeping your protein high.
Hi Lara, very happy to hear you enjoy the taste! Chocolate Peanut is definitely a favourite. To get 30g of protein you need 40g of powder that is correct, obviously it would be impossible to achieve with 25g! The pack has 13 servings and if you didn’t want to use so quickly or have less than 30g protein per serving you can always use less. What’s most important is your total protein intake over the course of the day. Thanks for your feedback and we hope this reply is useful.
