Usage
For a nutritionally complete 355 calorie meal*, mix 100g of Peakblend with 500ml of water or your preferred non-dairy milk.For a healthy 177 calorie shake*, mix 50g of Peakblend with 250ml of water or your preferred non-dairy milk.The amount and type of liquid you add will affect sweetness and thickness, so experiment and see what works best for you.We avoid including plastic measuring scoops in order to minimise the environmental impact of our products. Please use scales if you need to be precise with quantities. A heaped tablespoon is approx. 20g and you can adjust the amount of product you use according to your taste and preference. Best served cold or with ice. Drink one or two servings a day, or as required according to your health and lifestyle goals.*Prepared with water as per instructions. Alternatives, such as non dairy milks, may add calories.
Ok, I admit I’m biased but I’ve been using this for a month or so and it’s my favourite tasting product. I use whenever I’m a bit pushed for time and need a healthy meal and really like it post workout when I want to up my carbs a bit. 💪
Love the banoffee flavour which is not too sweet, and the texture of the shake is also really nice (and is even better if you mix in an actual banana in there! 😉
My only wish would be for an option with no sugar and slower release carbs – I’m struggling to digest simple carbohydrates and so can’t have this shake very often.
Thank you for your feedback Daria. As a meal replacement, Peakblend is designed to deliver a combination of macronutrients, combining carbohydrates, fat and protein. The carbohydrate content in total is proportionally appropriate and lower than a typical carbohydrate containing meal. The sugar content (7g) is only a small contribution to the overall carbohydrate content in Peakblend (37g). The high protein content of Peakblend coupled with significant amounts of fibre and fatty acids, means that the digestion and absorption of Peakblend is slowed, preventing a rapid and large rise in blood sugar. i.e. Peakblend is not a high Glycaemic Index (GI) product. The inclusion of some sugar also aids the utilisation of carbohydrate in Peakblend by triggering an insulin release, which not only helps utilise the carbohydrate in Peakblend but also the uptake of amino acids into muscles. This is important to ensure Peakblend can be used universally as a way of fuelling, especially for active people and those doing exercise. I hope this helps!
